Introduction
These conditions explain the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of all parties to this Agreement. Where we use the word ‘You’ or ‘Your’ it means the Customer: ‘We’, ‘Us’ or ‘Our’ means the Remover. For the purposes of this Agreement an item is defined as the entire contents of a box, parcel, package, carton, or similar container, and any other object or thing that is moved, handled or stored by us.
Please read these clauses carefully before agreeing to them.
- Quotation
- Our costs fluctuate due to market season, changes in taxation, and fuel beyond our control.
- The work is carried out on a Saturday, Sunday, or Public Holiday or outside normal hours (08.00-18.00hrs) at your request.
- Quote depends on the distance you are moving, the size of your home and time in which moving is being done.
- Full package quote includes providence of trained personnel, enclosed truck, wrapping materials for kitchen household, tough plastic boxes, dismantling of bed and reassembling, packing and unpacking and full home set up.
- Half package quote include trained personnel, lifting, bed dismantling and transportation.
- We provide TV mounting and DSTV installation at an extra fee.
You agree to pay any reasonable charges arising from circumstances.
- Work not included
- Dismantle or assemble garden furniture and equipment including, but not limited to: sheds, greenhouses, garden shelters, outdoor play equipment, and satellite dishes, or move paving slabs, planters and the like.
- Transport pets of any kind.
- Transport valuables like documents and TVs.
Our staff are not authorized to carry out such work. We recommend you treat such work as personal responsibility.
- Your responsibility
- Obtain at Your own expense, all documents, permits, permissions, licenses, customs documents necessary for the removal to be completed.
- Pay for any parking or meter suspension charges incurred by us in carrying out the work.
- Be present or represented throughout the collection and delivery of the removal.
- Carry all documents, licenses, customs documents, passport and TV with you.
- Prepare adequately and stabilize all appliances or electronic equipment prior to their removal.
- Empty, properly defrost and clean refrigerators and deep freezers.
- Ensure that all domestic and garden appliances, including but not limited to washing machines, dish washers, hose pipes, petrol lawn mowers are clean and dry and have no residual fluid left in them.
- Provide Us with a correct and up to date contact address and telephone number during removal and transit.
- By entering into this Agreement, You guarantee that the goods being removed are your own property.
Other than by reason of our negligence or breach of contract, We will not be liable for any loss or damage, costs or additional charges that may arise from failure to discharge these responsibilities.
- Our responsibility
- It is Our responsibility to deliver Your goods to You, or produce them for Your collection, undamaged. By “undamaged” we mean in the same condition as they were in at the time when they were packed or otherwise made ready for transportation and/ or storage.
- In the event that We have undertaken to pack the goods, or otherwise make them ready for transportation and/or storage, it is Our responsibility to deliver them to You, or produce them for Your collection, undamaged. Again, by “undamaged” we mean in the same condition as they were in immediately prior to being packed/ made ready for transportation or storage.
- Delays for transit
- Other than by reason of our negligence or breach of contract, we will not be liable for delays in transit.
- Any transit times quoted by Us are estimated and based upon information known to Us at the time. Transit times may vary due to a number of factors outside Our control including but not limited traffic congestion.
We will advise You of any changes to the transit times as soon as We become aware.
- Payment
- Payment will be made in full immediately after the completion of service, no deposit needed for shorty distance moves.
- For long distance moves, (above 150km one way) ¾ of the moving fee is made as the deposit prior moving date and full payment immediately after the service.
- Payment is made through the payment details provided by us.
- Exclusion of liability
In no event shall the Company be liable to the Customer for the following, which shall be entirely at the Customer’s own risk:
- Any item or furniture with an inherent weakness, such as those already damaged or defective, or having underwent prior repairs;
- Any furniture, item, or material which is weak due to its nature, usage, wear, or age;
- Any furniture of unstable construction, ready-to-assemble type furniture, or furniture otherwise held together with tied joints fasteners or other defective or weak joints or connecting devices;
- Any oversized furniture and items which have to be maneuvered through tight passageways.
- Any damage caused in handling of your items by our personnel as per your instructions.
- Any damages caused while goods are on transit.
- ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement, including any Schedule hereto, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties relating to the matters contained herein, and supersedes all prior negotiations, arrangements, agreements, and understandings, either oral or written.
